Christopher Rissetto is counsel to Impresa. He focuses his practice on Infrastructure, Government Grants and Contracts, Environmental, Administrative procedure, Municipal Governance, and rulemaking, and Legislative Strategy and Operations areas. He has served as Partner in leading international law firms, including Reed Smith, and Holland & Knight; was a founding member of his own law firm, and served as a senior staff attorney in the Office of General Counsel of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (receiving the Bronze Medal Award). During this time he also served as Chairman of the “Federal, State, and Local Precontract and Procurement Under Grants Administrative Remedies Committee,” in the Public Contract Law Section of the American Bar Association. The focus of his practice has often involved representing the public sector, including non-profit organisations, regarding the process of obtaining federal funding and conforming to the myriad of mandatory regulatory program requirements, as well as successfully completing project close-out and audit. He has also worked with the private sector regarding requirements under federally-funded procurement opportunities.
He earned his Law Degree from the University of Wisconsin School of Law, his Masters in Political Science from the University of California, Davis, and his Bachelors in History, from San Francisco State University. He is a member of the Bars of Virginia, the District of Columbia, and Wisconsin (Emeritus).
He is also admitted to practice before the United States Supreme Court, the United States Court of Federal Claims, and numerous Federal Circuit Courts of Appeals and Federal District Courts.
